Making a Veil 
   Painted Veils    




    
Streach all four silk sides tight with streight pins.
 Cover floor with panter's cloth to catch paint.
Now create!

 

Roll up in a white old sheet for stovetop steaming to set color.
I got the sheets at second hand stores.
After 1 to 1.5 hours of steaming, unroll.

 
Put in washing machine to wash off excess dye on cold gentle cycle.
 Dry in dryer on low heat for 8 min.

Iron with low temp "silk setting" using steam,
or spray with water bottle lightly to get out wrinkles.
Sew around edges with a zig zag stitch, or use an over lock foot to finish.
