Painted
Veils
"What an adventure!"
Hope Love Dream
Veils are three to four yards long and painted with Jacquard dye on a
homemade silk streacher
my dad invented.
I was first inspired to create veils when my first one was given to me. I
danced
with it, was hooked and wanted more!
Each veil represents a part of nature: the sun, sea, sky,
and land. Down
below are a few of those reflections put into rhymes.
I have danced, sold,
and have created many
costume pieces: shawls, sleeves,
shams, etc. adding bright colors
to every creation. To me they are more then just veils, they are a fabric
of colored imagination!
